How to find the area of a triangle with 3 sides?
We will use Heron's formula to find the area.
Answer: Using Heron's formula - √s (s - a) (s - b) (s - c) to find the area of a triangle.
Let us see how we will use Heron's formula to find the area.
Explanation:
To find the area of the triangle when all three different sides are given and nothing else we use Heron's formula to calculate the area.
Heron's formula is executed in the following two steps.
The first step is finding a semi-perimeter of the triangle, that is, the sum of all sides divided by 2.
The second step is using the semi-perimeter in the Heron's formula equation which is given by √s (s - a) (s - b) (s - c), where, s is semi-perimeter of the triangle = s = (a + b + c) / 2
We have observed that we have a formula for finding areas for special triangles but all things aside if we have 3 sides of the triangle known then Heron's formula is the basic formula.
