Given, x and y are non-zero rational numbers
m is a positive integer
xm ÷ ym = (x ÷ y)m
We have to determine if the given statement is true or false.
For any non-zero integers ‘a’ and ‘b’ and whole numbers m and n,
am ÷ bm = (a/b)m or (a ÷ b)m
From the above definition,
xm ÷ ym = (x/y)m
= (x ÷ y)m
Therefore, xm ÷ ym = (x ÷ y)m
