Write the following statement in the form of algebraic expression and write whether it is monomial, binomial or trinomial. Product of p, twice of q and thrice of r
Solution:
Given, product of p, twice of q and thrice of r.
We have to express the statement in algebraic form and classify it.
Twice of q = 2 × q
= 2q
Thrice of r = 3 × r
= 3r
Now, product of p, twice of q and thrice of r = p × 2q × 3r
= 6pqr
Therefore, the algebraic expression is 6pqr.
The expression contains one term.
Expression with one term is called a 'Monomial’.
Therefore, 6pqr is a monomial.
