(a) We divide the number of shaded portions in the circle by the total number of divisions to obtain the required fractions.

i) In the first circle, the total number of divisions = 8
The number of shaded portion = 3
∴ The required fraction = 3/8

ii) In the second circle, the total number of divisions = 8
The number of shaded portion = 6
∴ The required fraction = 6/8

(iii) In the third circle, the total number of divisions = 8
The number of shaded portion = 4
∴ The required fraction = 4/8

(iv) In the fourth circle, the total number of divisions = 8
The number of shaded portion = 1
∴ The required fraction = 1/8

The fractions are 3/8, 6/8, 4/8 and, 1/8. The denominator is the same.

Ascending order of fractions: (1/8) < (3/8) < (4/8) < (6/8)

Descending order of fraction: (6/8) > (4/8) > (3/8) > (1/8)

(b) We divide the number of shaded portions in the circle by the total number of divisions to obtain the required fractions.

(i) The total number of blocks = 9
The number of shaded portion = 8
∴ The fraction = 8/9

(ii) The total number of blocks = 9
The number of shaded portion = 4
∴ The fraction = 4/9

(iii) The total number of blocks = 9
The number of shaded portion = 3
∴ The fraction = 3/9

(iv) The total number of blocks = 9
The number of shaded portion = 6
∴ The fraction = 6/9

∴ The fractions are 8/9, 4/9, 3/9,6/9. The denominators are the same.

Ascending order of fractions: (3/9) < (4/9) < (6/9) < (8/9)

Descending order of fraction: (8/9) > (6/9) > (4/9) > (3/9)

(c). 2/4, 4/6, 8/6, and 6/6

Show 2/4, 4/6, 8/6, and 6/6 on the number line.

Now appropriate signs between the fractions are given below:
