Solution:

Given, the number is 43.

We have to find the square of 434 using distributive law.

The distributive property is also known as the distributive law of multiplication over addition and subtraction.

A (B + C) can be solved as A × (B + C) = AB + AC. 

A (B - C) can be solved as A × (B - C) = AB - AC.

43 can be written as (40 + 3)

Square of 43 = (40 + 3)²

Using distributive law,

(40 + 3)² = (40 + 3) (40 + 3)

= 40(40 + 3) + 3(40 + 3)

= 40(40) + 40(3) + 3(40) + 3(3)

= 1600 + 120 + 120 + 9

= 1600 + 240 + 9

= 1849

Therefore, 43² = 1849.
