We know that

Sum of any two sides of a triangle is greater than or equal to the third side.

The given lengths are 5 cm, 6 cm and 11 cm

5 + 6 = 11

6 + 11 ≥ 11

As the given lengths do not satisfy the condition of a triangle, a triangle cannot be constructed.

Therefore, the statement is false.
