Solution:
The sum of areas of two squares with sides 4a and 4b is 16(a² + b²).
To find : sum of areas of two squares.
Area of a square = side × side
Side of the first square of side 4a is = 4a × 4a = 16a² -(1)
Side of the second square of side 4b is = 4b × 4b = 16b² -(2)
∴ Sum of area of the two squares
⇒ (1) + (2) = 16a² + 16b²
= 16(a² + b²)

To find : sum of areas of two squares.
Area of a square = side × side

∴ Sum of area of the two squares
⇒ (1) + (2) = 25m² + 100n²
