The statement ‘the product of two negative terms is a negative term’ is false.
The product of two negative terms is positive.
Example: (i) (-2x) × (-y) = 2xy
(ii) (-m) × (3n) = - 3mn
The product of two negative terms is always a positive term.

(i) Given = (2x) (-3y) = -6xy which is negative
