Area of rectangle = length × breadth
Area of wooden flooring = area of rectangle ADFH - area of BCLK
Considering rectangle ADFH,
Length = 4 + 2.5 + 4 = 10.5 m
Breadth = 3 + 3 = 6 m
Area = 10.5(6)
= 63 m²
Considering rectangle BCLK,
Length = 2.5 m
Breadth = 2 m
Area = 2.5(2)
= 5 m²
Area of wooden flooring = 63 - 5
= 58 m²
Cost of flooring 1 m² = ₹1200
Cost of flooring 58 m² = 1200 × 58
= ₹69600
Therefore, the cost of wooden flooring inside the house except the bathroom is ₹69600.
