According to the question,

Interest = P × R × T/100

Given, P = ₹2000

R = 6%

For 1 1/2 years,

T = 1 + 6/12 = 1 + 1/2 = 3/2 years

I = 2000 × 6 × 3/100 × 2

= 1000 × 18/100

= 10 × 18

= ₹180

For 2 years, I = 2000 × 6 × 2/100

= 20 × 12

= ₹240

Sum of interest = 180 + 240

= ₹420

Therefore, the sum of interest is ₹420.
