We know that
A continuous set of points which has length and breadth but no thickness is called a surface.
So it has two dimensions

Given, x + y = 6 --------- (1)
Also, x = z ------------------ (2)
We have to show that z + y = 6
Using Euclid’s second axiom,
If equals are added to the equals, the wholes are equal.
From (2),
x + y = z + y
From (1).
z + y = 6
Therefore, z + y = 6
