(a) By the age of 17 years girls reach their maximum height while boys reach their maximum height only by the age of 18years.
(b) Boys grow faster at puberty (14 years to 16 years of age). From 92% of height achievement at 14 years of age, the boys attain 98% of their height by 16 years of age. Girls on the other hand achieve 98% of their height by 14 years of age. By 16 years of age the girls have achieved 99.5% of their maximum height.
