Solution:
Area of a square = (side) × (side) = (side)²
Given area of the square is 4x² + 12xy + 9y²
∴ Area of the square, 4x² + 12xy + 9y² = (side)²
Side = √(4x² + 12xy + 9y² )
= √[(2x)² + 2(2x)(3y) + (3y)²]
= √(2x + 3y)²
= (2x + 3y)
∴ Side of the square is (2x + 3y).
