The age of Sohan Lal is four times that of his son Amit. If the difference of their ages is 27 years, find the age of Amit

Solution:

Let the age of Amit be x years

Then the age of Sohan be 4x years

4x - x = 27

3x = 27

x = 27/3

x = 9

Thus, the age of Amit is 9 years.

Let the age of Anita be x years

Then the age of Rohan be 3x years
