Solution:
Given, the figure represents a double bar graph.
(a) We have to find the information depicted by the above double bar graph.
The double bar graph represents the information about the comparison sales of two brands A and B during the months January to June.
(b) We have to find the month in which the sales of Brand A decreased as compared to the previous month.
From the graph,
The sales of brand B in March decreased as compared to the previous month.
(c) We have to find the difference in sales of both the Brands for the month of June.
Sales of Brand A for the month of June = 57 lakhs
Sales of Brand B for the month of June = 54 lakhs
Difference in sales = 57 - 54 = 3 lakhs
(d) We have to find the average sales of Brand B for the six months.
Average of Sales of Brand B = sales in every month/ total number of months
Sales in every month = 36 + 38 + 43 + 35 + 45 + 54 = 251
Number of months = 6
Average of sales = 251/6 = 41.83 lakhs.
(e) We have to list all months for which the sales of Brand B were less than that of Brand A.
From the graph,
In April and June, the sales of Brand B was less than that of Brand A.
(f) We have to find the ratio of sales of Brand A as compared to Brand B for the month of January.
Sales of Brand B for the month of January = 31 lakh
Sales of Brand A for the month of January = 36 lakh
Ratio = 31/36
= 31 : 36
