Solve : 3 (5x - 7) + 2(9x - 11) = 4(8x - 7) - 111
Solution:
Given, the equation is 3 (5x - 7) + 2(9x - 11) = 4(8x - 7) - 111
We have to solve the equation
On solving the equation for x,
3 (5x - 7) + 2(9x - 11) = 4(8x - 7) - 111
3(5x) - 3(7) + 2(9x) - 2(11) = 4(8x) - 4(7) - 111
15x - 21 + 18x - 22 = 32x - 28 - 111
15x + 18x - 21 - 22 = 32x - 139
33x - 43 = 32x - 139
By transposing,
33x - 32x = -139 + 43
x = -96
Therefore, the value of x is -96
✦ Try This: Solve : 2(7x - 3) + 3(8x - 10) = 3(5x - 8) - 100
