Solve : 1 -(x - 2) - [(x - 3) - (x - 1)] = 0
Solution:
Given, the equation is 1 -(x - 2) - [(x - 3) - (x - 1)] = 0
We have to solve the equation
On solving the equation for x,
1 -(x - 2) - [(x - 3) - (x - 1)] = 0
1 - x + 2 - x + 3 - x + 1 = 0
By grouping of common terms,
1 + 2 + 3 + 1 - x - x - x = 0
2 + 5 - 3x = 0
7 - 3x = 0
By transposing,
3x = 7
x = 7/3
Therefore, the value of x is 7/3
✦ Try This: Solve : 4 -(3x - 12) - [(x - 2) - (3x - 10)] = 0
