Simplify and solve the linear equations: 3(t - 3) = 5(2t + 1)
Solution:
We will be applying distributive property and then transpose variables to one side and constants to another side to form a linear equation.
3(t - 3) = 5(2t + 1)
⇒ 3t - 9 = 10t + 5 [Using distributive property]
⇒ 7t = -14
Hence,
t = -14/7
t = - 2
