Simplify and solve the linear equation: 0.25(4f - 3) = 0.05(10f - 9)
Solution:
We will be applying distributive property and then transpose variables to one side and constants to another side to form a linear equation.
0.25(4f - 3) = 0.05(10f - 9)
⇒ f - 0.75 = 0.5f - 0.45 [Using distributive property]
⇒ f - 0.5f = 0.75 - 0.45
⇒ 0.5f = 0.3
⇒ f = 0.3/0.5 = 3/5
Hence,
f = 3/5
