Side of a rhombus and its perimeter are in ______ proportion
Solution:
A rhombus is a polygon with four equal sides. If the length of the side = s then the
Perimeter(P) = 4s.
Therefore if the length of the side increases the perimeter of the rhombus will increase. In other words we can state that the side of the rhombus and perimeter of the rhombus are directly proportional.
P ∝ s
P/s = k where k is a positive constant
✦ Try This: Side of a square and its perimeter are in ______ proportion.
A Square is a polygon with four equal sides. If the length of the side = s then the
Perimeter(P) = 4s.
Therefore if the length of the side increases the perimeter of the square will increase. In other words we can state that the side of the rhombus and perimeter of the rhombus are directly proportional.
P ∝ s
P/s = k where k is a positive constant
