According to question,
3x/4 + 3 = 21

(e) Let the number be x.
According to question,
50 – 3x = 8
- 3x = 8 - 50
- 3x = - 42
x = - 42/(-3) = 14
(f) Let the number be z.
According to question,
(z +19)/5 = 8
z + 19 = 40
z = 40 – 19 = 21
(g) Let the number be x.
According to question,
5x/2 – 7 = 23
5x/2 = 23 + 7
5x/2 = 30
x = 30 × 2/5
x = 12
