PQRS is a trapezium in which PQ||SR and ∠P=130°, ∠Q=110°. Then ∠R is equal to:
(a) 70°
(b) 50°
(c) 65°
(d) 55°
Solution:
Given, PQRS is a trapezium in which PQ || SR
The measure of ∠P=130° and ∠Q=110°.
We have to find the measure of ∠R.
We know that the angle between the pair of parallel sides of a trapezium are supplementary.
So, ∠Q + ∠R = 180
110 + ∠R = 180
∠R = 180 - 110
∠R = 70
Therefore, the measure of ∠R is 70 degrees.
