In Rajasthan, Number of people per km2 = Population / Area
= 570,00,000 / 3,00,000
= 190
It means 190 people are there per km2 in Rajasthan.
In UP., Number of people per km2
= 1660,00,000 / 2,00,000
= 830
It means 830 people are there per km2 in UP
(ii ) Rajasthan is less populated because in Rajasthan fewer people live per km2 as compared to UP.
