Is it true to say that area of a square inscribed in a circle of diameter p cm is p² cm²? Why
Solution:
We know that
If a square is inscribed in a circle the diameter of circle is equal to the diagonal of the square
Consider a as the side of the square
So the perimeter p² = a² + a²
p² = 2a²
a² = p²/2
So the area of square is a² = p²/2
Therefore, the statement is false.
