In the trapezium ABCD, the measure of ∠D is
(a) 55°
(b) 115°
(c) 135°
(d) 125°
Solution:
Given, ABCD is a trapezium.
We have to find the measure of ∠D.
We know that the sum of the angles on either side of the base of a trapezium are supplementary.
So, ∠A + ∠D = 180°
55° + ∠D = 180°
∠D = 180° - 55°
∠D = 125°
Therefore, the measure of angle D is 125°
✦ Try This: In the trapezium PQRS, the measure of angle P is 60 degrees. The measure of ∠S is (a) 55°, (b) 115°, (c) 135°, (d) 125°
