In the above figure both RISK and CLUE are parallelograms. Find the value of x

Solution:

In parallelogram RISK

RKS + ∠ISK = 180° (Adjacent angles are supplementary)

120° + ∠ISK = 180°

∠ISK = 180° - 120°

∠ISK = 60°

∠I = ∠K (Opposite angels of parallelogram are equal)

= 120°

In parallelogram CLUE,

∠L = ∠E (Opposite angels of parallelogram are equal)

= 70°

The sum of the measures of all the interior angles of a triangle is 180º.

x + 60°+ 70° = 180°

x +1 30° = 180°

x = 180° - 130°

x = 50°
