Given, the line l and m are parallel.
The figure represents two lines cut by a transversal n.
We have to find the value of x.
We know that if a transversal cuts two parallel lines, then the sum of the interior angles lying on the same side of the transversal is supplementary.
From the figure,
The interior angles on the same side of the transversal are x and 44 degrees.
So, x + 44° = 180°
x = 180°- 44°
x = 136°
Therefore, the value of x is 136°
