Given, the figure represents four lines m, n, l and o.
We have to determine the lines which are parallel.
Vertically opposite angles are angles that are opposite one another at a specific vertex and are created by two straight intersecting lines.
Vertically opposite angles are equal to each other.
From the figure,
∠1 = 120°
Considering lines m and n cut by the line o,
From the figure,
1 + 60° = 120° + 60°
= 180°
If two parallel lines are intersected by a transversal, each pair of interior angles on the same side of the transversal is supplementary.
The sum of co interior angles is equal to 180 degrees.
Therefore, the lines m and n are parallel.
