Given, l || m
We need to find the values of a and b.
Considering l and m are parallel with t as transversal,
If two parallel lines are intersected by a transversal, each pair of interior angles on the same side of the transversal is supplementary.
So, ∠EAB + ∠DBA = 180°
From the figure,
b + 132° = 180°
b = 180° - 132°
b = 48°
Considering l and m are parallel with s as transversal,
If two parallel lines are intersected by a transversal, each pair of interior angles on the same side of the transversal is supplementary.
So, ∠EAC + ∠BCA = 180°
From the figure,
a + b + 65° = 180°
a + 48° + 65° = 180°
a + 113° = 180°
a = 180° - 113°
a = 67°
Therefore, the values of a and b are 67° and 48°.
