Solution:
Given, the figure represents four rays produced from a point O.
Also, OR ⊥ OP.
We have to find all the pairs of complementary angles.
When the sum of the measures of two angles is 90°, the angles are called complementary angles.
Since OR ⊥ OP, ∠ROP is a right angle which measures exactly 90 degrees.
∠ROP = 90°
So, ∠ROP = ∠ROQ + ∠QOP
From the figure,
∠QOP = x
∠ROQ = y
Therefore, the pair of complementary angles are ∠x and ∠y.
