In case of inverse proportion, a₂ = b₂

Solution:

In the case of inverse proportion

a₁ ∝ 1/a₂

b₂ ∝ 1/b₁

and therefore

a₁a₂ = b₁ b₂

Hence we can state, that in an inverse proportion a₂/b₁ = b₂/a₁
