Solution:
Given,
We have to find the value of
Put x = 1 in the expression (3/4)x - 2,
= (3/4)(1) - 2
= 3/4 - 2
= (3 - 8)/4
= -5/4
Put x = 12 in the expression x + 6,
= 12 + 6
= 18
= 2(18) - 3/2(-5/4)
= 36 + (3/2)(5/4)
= 36 + 15/8
= [36(8) + 15]/8
= (288 + 15)/8
= 303/8
Therefore, the required value is 303/8
