Solution:

Given,

We have to find the value of

Put x = 10 in the expression (3/4)x - 2,

= (3/4)(10) - 2

= 30/4 - 2

= (30 - 8)/4

= 22/4

= 11/2

Put x = 4 in the expression x + 6,

= 4 + 6

= 10

= 11/2 - 10

= [11 - 2(10)]/2

= (11 - 20)/2

= -9/2

Therefore, the required value is -9/2.
