Solution:

We have to find the value of

Put x = 0 in the expression 2x + 3,

= 2(0) + 3

= 0 + 3

= 3

Put x = 2 in the expression 3x/2 + 7,

= 3(2)/2 + 7

= 3 + 7

= 10

Put x = 8 in the expression x - 3,

= 8 - 3

= 5

= 1/2 (10) + 5 - 3(3)

= 5 + 5 - 9

= 10 - 9

= 1

Therefore, the required value is 1.
