If x = 2x + 3, x = 3/2x + 7, Find the value of
Solution:
We have to find the value of
Put x = 6 in the expression 2x + 3,
= 2(6) + 3
= 12 + 3
= 15
Put x = 3 in the expression 3x/2 + 7,
= 3(3)/2 + 7
= 9/2 + 7
= (9+14)/2
= 23/2
Put x = 1 in the expression x - 3,
= 1 - 3
= -2
= 2(15) + (23/2) - (-2)
= 30 + (23/2) + 2
= 32 + 23/2
= (64+23)/2
= 87/2
Therefore, the required value is 87/2.
