Solution:

Given x = 1/3 and y = 6/7

xy = (1/3)(6/7) = 2/7

y/x = 6/7 / 1/3 = 6/7 × 3 = 18/7

xy - y/x = 2/7 - 18/7

xy - y/x = -16/7

Therefore, the solution is -16/7
