(a) 2
(b) 3
(c) 6
(d) 9
Solution:
If the sum of digits of the number is divisible by 3 then the number is always divisible by 3.
e.g. the number 1221 is divisible by 3 because 1 + 2+ 2 + 1 = 6 which is divisible by 3 and hence 1221 is divisible by 3
Another example is no. 12. 12 = 1 + 2 = 3 which is divisible by 3 and hence 12 is divisible by 3.
The correct Answer is (b).
✦ Try This: If the last two digits of a number is divisible by 4 then the number is always divisible by : (a) 2, (b) 3, (c) 8, (d) 4
