Solution:

If cost of 10 pencils is Rs. 90 then,

Cost of one pencil = Rs. 90/10 = Rs. 9

Therefore cost of 19 pencils is

= Rs. 9 × 19 = Rs. 171

Hence the statement is True.

If cost of 12 pencils is Rs. 96 then,

Cost of one pencil = Rs. 96/12 = Rs. 8
