If B is the mid-point of AC and C is the midpoint of BD, where A, B, C, D lie on a straight line, say why AB = CD?
Solution:
We will be using the concept of midpoint to solve this.
We have been given that,
B is the midpoint of AC
⇒ AB = BC ----------------- (1)
C is the midpoint of BD
⇒ BC = CD --------------- (2)
Hence, we can say that AB = CD [From equation(1) and equation(2)]
You can also use the online Midpoint Calculator to solve this.
