= 1000 - 30 + 30
= 1000 is the required value.
(ii) Here, p = -10,
We need to determine the value of p2 - 2p - 100
Put the value of p = -10 to solve the given expression
= (-10)2 - 2 × (-10) -100
= 100 + 20 -100
= 20 is the required value.
