(a) ₹136000
(b) ₹120000
(c) ₹122400
(d) ₹14000
Solution:
Given, Gayatri’s income is ₹1,60,000 per year.
She pays 15% of this as house rent
10% of the remainder on her child’s education.
We have to find the money left with her.
15% of 160000 = (15/100) × 160000
= 15 × 1600
= 24000
Amount left with Gayatri after paying house rent = 1,60,000 - 24,000
= ₹1,36,000
Now, 10% of 1,36,000 = (10/100) × 136000
= 10 × 1360
= 13600
Amount left with Gayatri = 1,36,000 - 13, 600
= ₹122400
Therefore, the required amount is ₹122400
