Solution:

Let the polynomials p(x) = 5x - 4x² + 3

i) p(0) = 5(0) - 4(0)² + 3

= 0 - 0 + 3

= 3

ii) p(-1) = 5(-1) - 4(-1)² + 3

= -5 - 4 + 3

= -6

iii) p(2) = 5(2) - 4(2)² + 3

= 10 - 16 + 3

= -3
