Find the value of following polynomial at m = 1, n = -1 and p = 2: m² + n² + p²
Solution:
Given, the polynomial is m² + n² + p²
We have to find the value of the polynomial at m = 1, n = -1 and p = 2.
m² = (1)² = 1
n² = (-1)² = 1
p² = (2)² = 4
Now, m² + n² + p² = 1 + 1 + 4
= 2 + 4
= 6
Therefore, m² + n² + p² = 6
