Solution:

(a) MP = Rs. 5450

Discount = 5%

Discount = 5% of 5450 = Rs. 272.50

Selling Price (SP) = Rs. 5450 - Rs. 272.50 = Rs. 5177.50

(b) MP = Rs. 1300

Discount = 1.5%

Discount = 1.5% of 1300 = Rs. 19.50

Selling Price (SP) = Rs. 1300 - Rs. 19.50 = Rs. 1280.50
