Find (i) 0 ÷ 2/3 (ii) 1/3 × -5/7 × -21/10
Solution:
(i) 0 ÷ 2/3
0 × 3/2 = 0
(ii) 1/3 × -5/7 × -21/10
Multiply all the numerator at once and denominator at once
= (1 × -5 × -21)/ (3 × 7 × 10)
= 1/2
✦ Try This: Find (i) 1 ÷ 2/3 (ii) 1/5 × -2/7 × -35/15
(i) 1 ÷ 2/3
= 1 ÷ 2/3 = 1/(⅔) = 3/2
(ii) 1/5 × -2/7 × -35/15
Multiply all the numerator at once and denominator at once
= (1 × -2 × -35)/(5 × 7 × 15)
= 2/15
