Express the following in exponential form : a × a × b × b × b × c × c × c × c
Solution:
Given, a × a × b × b × b × c × c × c × c
We have to express in exponential form.
For any non-zero integers ‘a’ and whole numbers m
a × a × a⋯ m times = am
Considering a × a,
Number of times the term a is repeated = 2
So, m = 2
am = a²
Considering b × b × b,
Number of times the term b is repeated = 3
So, m = 3
am = b³
Considering c × c × c × c,
So, m = 4
am = c⁴
So, a × a × b × b × b × c × c × c × c = a² × b³ × c⁴
Therefore, the required value is a² × b³ × c⁴.
