Expand using suitable identities: (x²y - xy²)²
Solution:
Given, (x²y - xy²)²
Using standard identity: (a - b)² = a² - 2ab + b²
Here, a = x²y and b = xy²
(x²y - xy²)² = (x²y)² - 2(x²y)(xy²) + (xy²)²
= x⁴y² - 2x³y³ + x²y⁴
✦ Try This: Expand using suitable identities: (a³b² - a²b³)²
Given, (a³b² - a²b³)²
Using standard identity: (a - b)² = a² - 2ab + b²
(a³b² - a²b³)² = (a³b²)² - 2(a³b²)(a²b³) + (a²b³)²
= a⁶b⁴ - 2a⁵b⁵ + a⁴b⁶
