Expand using suitable identities: [(2a/3) + (b/3)][(2a/3) - (b/3)]
Solution:
Given, [(2a/3) + (b/3)][(2a/3) - (b/3)]
Using standard identity: x² - y² = (x + y) (x - y)
Here x = (2a/3) and y = (b/3)
[(2a/3) + (b/3)][(2a/3) - (b/3)]
= (2a/3)² - (b/3)²
= (4a²/9) - (b²/9)
✦ Try This: Expand using suitable identities: [(4p/5) + (q/2)][(4p/5) - (q/2)]
Given, [(4p/5) + (q/2)][(4p/5) - (q/2)]
Using standard identity: a² - b² = (a + b) (a - b)
[(4p/5) + (q/2)][(4p/5) - (q/2)] = (4p/5)² - (q/2)²
