Draw an angle of measure 147° and construct its bisector
Solution:
We will be using the concept of angles and bisector to solve this.
Steps of construction:
(i) Draw a line segment l and mark a point O on it. Place the protractor at point O and put zero-edge along line l.
(ii) At an angle of measure 147°, mark a point A. Join the line OA. Hence, OA is the required line segment that is making 147° with line l.
(iii) Take point O as the center, draw the arc of convenient radius. Let the arc intersect both the line segments of angle 147° at points A and B.
(iv) Now, take A and B as centers and draw arcs with a radius more than half of AB in the interior angle of 147°. Let these arcs intersect each other at point C. Join line OC.
(v) OC is the required bisector of 147° angle
