We know that
The different plain regions are known as faces.
The figure has 5 faces.
The line segments which are formed where the faces meet are known as edges.
The figure has 8 edges.
The edges meet a point known as vertices.
The figure has 5 vertices.
Therefore, a square pyramid has 8 edges, 5 vertices and 5 faces.
